Hey everyone My 94 cbr 600f2 was stolen here in Oklahoma City last night right out in front of my apartment. The funny thing is that there is a 06 gsxr that is setting 2 parking spots away and they didn't take it .

A while back, I woke up to find two dudes sawing away at my rear wheel U-lock at 3am in front of my apartment complex. Usually it is garaged but this night it wasn't and they tried to get it. They disappeared quick. My roommates bike was stolen a week later.

Any update?

I am taking my chances with my bike too.

Where I live at least 2 bikes were stolen...but mine was spared.

Now I try to park it with my wife's car blocking it in.

If i had to leave my bike outside I would at the least put an Alarm on it, Disk Lock, Lever Lock and a heavy duty Chain around the rims to a pole or something. Or wrap RAZOR wire around the grips! make every other bike an easier target!!

Ground anchors are brill' massive plate bolted to concrete with allen bolts, then you bang ball bearings in the allen key holes to stop SCUM undoing them. slip the chain round the wheel forks depending on your budget you can get big chains to go all round the bike. then all that bolts to a big loop welded to plate.
BIG TIP, dont leave your chains hanging about outside while you are out on your bike, those chains with plastic or fabric sleeves on are easy pray for theives,
What they do is case the joint where your bike is parked for a while, one day while your out riding your pride and joy the thief comes back, slides up the sleeve cuts or grinds a link out of your chain, then puts a plastic zip strap or tie clip in it's place slides the sleeve back down.
You come home lock up your bike the theif comes back later while you out or asleep, slides the sleeve up cuts the plastic link he put in earlier, rolls your bike away it's that simple.
Check your chain hasn't been tampered with.
