whats the difference between wet and dry nitrious?

A WET nitrous kit sprays both additional fuel and nitrous into the intake thru the nozzles. A DRY nitrous kit sprays just nitrous into the intake.

Wet vs. Dry

I am a new member and came across this post. I have an 01 929RR with a two bros. s/o, K&N, and sprocket -2 +1. A good buddy of mine has an 03 R1 with everything stock except the yoshi pipe. I have absolutely no problem keeping up with him, we are both pretty experienced riders. His does feel slightly more powerful but its not enough to really pull away from me. Hope this helps!

Can you beat him in a race?

Off the line, I definately am ahead, by the time I get to 3rd gear he's caught up, we haven't really had much of a chance to go all out yet, but once we do I'll let you know

That is in line with what I said before, with gears you can pull away out of the hole, but then the R-1 catches up and goes past. You haven't gone past 3rd gear, and the other guy who started this thread is going from a roll, so he is in higher gears. The top end is where we lose it to te R-1.

Yeah, he should be able to take the R1 off the line with the mods that that other guy mentioned earlier, if the race goes on too long though, he may wanna consider that nitrous in the upper gears.

Don't question whether I own a 929 just because what I said isn't what you want to hear. That alone shows you are just a punk kid. And learn to write in english for crying out loud, its hard to understand what the hell you are saying.

You brought it on yourself. I expressed opinions, you did'nt like them and gave me shit first. Saying I was "unfaithful" and the asing if I even own a bike? Until that time I said NOTHING directly to you. Now you can't take it and you resorted to more of your babbling bullshit thats makes no sense. All the qualities of a 16 year old punk ass little kid.

I feel sorry for you. I hope you ride better than you spell. You functional illiterate.

What the hell? CBRer comes in here brand spanking new on the site, finds THIS thread, and it turns out he and his buddy have the exact bike scenario that this argument is about, and he comes in supporting Amaese. Let me guess, you'll come into the thread in a day and say:

"Well my buddy with the R1 and I raced, we took it up to 100 and I beat him 3 times like that, we don't really want to get up to any higher speeds because it's not the track"...

I smell a rat.

I don't think this forum is to talk shit about everybody. Just give advice and shut up. Nobody wants to hear arguements. I don't want to piss anybody off but damn! Come on.
And if disagrees with something you said don't get all stupid about it, Just take it for what it is and don't get defensive.

Not only the exact same scenario, but the same MODS (K&N amd Gears) that were suggested by Amaese? And this is the only place he posted, not in the new member forum, nothing. Just happened to stumble accross this thread and decided he needed to join up to add his 2 cents.

I bet if you check the IP addresses you will find that CBRer matches one other in this thread. That kind of rediculous (and obvious) self support is going too far. Creating multiple names on a forum to further an argument is childish.

That being said, Weeble1 is absolutely right, this isn't the place to talk shit and argue (and yes I am as guilty as the others regardless of who started it). But having someone new here question if I even own a bike because my opinion isn't what he wanted to hear just really pissed me off and I let myself get sucked into a stupid argument when I should have ignored what he said and given it the attention it deserved - none. For that I apologize. I guess these things will happen now and then.

At least we all agree on one thing, we love our 929s.

Lets drop the animosity now before it gets any worse.
