My first post so exciting! I just finished my motorcycle rider training here in NH and I bought a new bike the wife demands before I ride that I buy the best helmet I can get! So my delema is a Shoei X-11 or a Suomy Extreme. I tried both of these on and they both fit perfect. Has anyone had any experince with either of them. I would have went with arai but it wasnt comfortable to me and ther are alot of them around!

Thank you, Mark

I have the SHOEI RF-1000 and like it a lot. Other then fit things to consider are weight, aerodymamics, air flow venting and removable inner padding for washing. Everything else being equal I would go with the lighter helmet.

Arai has two different shell shapes, what helmet did you try on?? Shoei is a great helmet as well, Suomy is another good one...you cant go wrong with any of these choices, if it fits properly

Thanks guys! I tried on the Astral X. I found it to be very uncomfortable! I had also heard the the Suomy's are very loud someone told me that ear plugs are almost a neccesary to ride. Has anyone else heard this?

Thankyou, Mark
