i just picked up my brand new 03 cbr 600 rr and i finally get it home and i was checking the lights and the brake light was not working. the runnimg lamp was on but the light would not flash. it seemed like it was bright for just the running lamp. the bike has an undertail kit on it. also the plate lights do not work. so i started to take it apart and the wires to the plate light came unhooked. tried hooking them back up but it just blew the bulbs. and still no change in the brake lamp. i checked the fuses they were good. every other light works.
i also check the brake light switch, which was working normally when i unhooked the power and hooked a test light to it the test light would flash. but as soon as you hooked the power wire up it gets the same consistant power out of the switch, test light stays on.
also i check the tail light it self when i unhooking and jumped it directly to the switch it seemed to work right. i got a high and low light both flashed with the switch. then i tested it hooked up normal there are three wires one was ground and the other two had the same power going through them. i am a newbie with bikes this is my first one. please help
