Hi all. Quick hello from another newbie in the UK.

I don't actually have a CBR but I do have an engine if that counts. I plan on putting the engine (from a 95 F3) in a Honda CB-1 (Jap grey import 400cc) and thought I'd look at some forums for tech info. I also have an 02 R6 which rocks.

Looks like great forum.

I expect I'll be speaking to you all soon

Hello and welcome to the boards. Nice R6 you have there. That sounds like an awseome project for your CB. Keep us updated with pics and info. I'm curious to see how that turns out. Is it a common motor swap over there?

It's not a common motor swap. In fact, I've only ever seen pictures of two or three bikes where it's been done, that's worldwide. It involves having engine mounting brackets fabricated and I'm pretty sure I'll need to use all the electrics from the F3.

The cb-1 certainly is a cool bike. Just woefully underpowered. I've always loved the looks, this is actually my second. They have so many little problems though. Hopefully replacing most of the bike with F2 parts will end that. Afer the engine mod will be a front end conversion. Possibly USD's.

Peace
