well on monday i was driving @ around 9 pm and got cut off by a 86 year old silver top driving a buick. i had no onther choice but to run inton on coming traffic or put it down. i locked the rear brake and brought it down on the right side. the grandma (who had an expired dl) kept on driving and was chased down by a citizen who held her until police came. the bike dosent look too bad. my front fork is bent and i need a rear fairing and seat. also new mirrors and cheap parts. i had sugery on my left wrist which will enable me to ride for a good 9 weeks......which im really heart broken about! does anyone know where i can find quality parts that arent @ crazy prices? i only have liability insurace so a couple of friends will be fixing it ourselves. any help i would appriciate! this crash has def made me feel like crap and now know how bad the road can hurt when ur going 60!!! thanks all and drive SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear about the crash... glad you're alright though! I too know now much the road hurts at 60... 11 months ago yesterday I pretty good crash on the highway and yes, it sucks!! I was SUPER lucky though and walked away with virtually zero injuries (gear works!!). If you don't mind used parts, keep an eye on ebay for stuff in good condition. There's tons of bike parts that go through ebay so if you don't see something now just keep looking, it'll pop up. I got some super deals on my stuff when I was putting it back together. It had $6000 worth of damage and I had it all fixed up for about $1000, and that included a whole new subframe and everything. Otherwise for new stuff, www.servicehonda.com will have about the best online prices you'll find anywhere, but you need the part # to search to use the microfiche at www.ronayers.com to look it up and get the part #'s.

Good luck and heal up quick!

ps.. don't you just love the little old ladys?? We're blessed with more than enough of them down here in SoFla too... can't drive for crap!

Ouch. Heal up.

If I had a nickel for every time THEY didn't see me...

Becareful out there!

I've even contemplated leaving the sport all together. It's very dangerous.

ya i knwo the feeling man ..back in 2001 i was doing about 60 mph going through a green like about an 80 year old grandma decided to make a left infront of me ...i didnt even have time to touch my breaks all i all remeber b4 the impact was saying *OHHHH SH!T*...Tboned her right where the windshield starts ..needless to say i got flight lessons..all i was wearing was my leather jacket ..whitch i just put my back pad back in that day *thanks god* leather race gloves..jeans.. running shoes and my helmet, and believe it or not i slid for about 200 feet by my self bike stayed in the intersection and i didnt have one stich of raod rash on me i landed and slid on my back the whole way..and when i stopped sliding i got up and ran my ass off the road afraid i was gonna get run over ...bike was bent like a banana and the front wheel was just about touching the rear, i have pics somewhere ill have to scan them one day ...but ya it goes to show u that anything can happen outta the blue and that something us riders have to put up with..atleast ur alright man.

i dont know about this bike but i had a dirt bike when part of the shift mechanism bent it wouldn’t shift which it bent a lot because of poor design. i would just check to make sure all your parts are strait.

I have a brand new stock exhaust can that you can have if you need it, just PM me. No charge. It's for an '05, so you will have to check and make sure that it will work.
