Just a quick question, Im looking into a helmet and I am torn between the Shoei, RF-1000, and the Soumy Steve Martin Spec-1R. I was mainly wondering what the visibility difference is between the two, the fit, and noise. I had a KBC and the visibility sucked compared to the Shoei, but I havent had a chance to try on the Soumy. The Soumy looks awesome too. Thanks for the help.

I can't tell you about the Soumy but I love my RF-1000. It is very light and the visibility seems to be OK. The Shoei is a very comfortable helmet and has a good field of view in my opinion.

Shoei makes a great helmet. I had a KBC Wolf which I use as a back up and I know what you are talking about when you mentioned visabilty. Haven't tried the Soumy.

I have the Shoei XR-1000 Moor replica which is basically the RF-1000 but thats what its called in Europe. My first helmet was a KBC VR-1. The shoei is so much lighter, so much more comfier, with a greater field of vision especially from the sides. Its not too noisy either. I did notice that the wind noise decreased when i put in a black visor tho, wierd.

Might not be all the way on or the latching system is slightly cracked.
