ORIGINAL: Craigart14 I'm still wavering on replacing my stock windscreen. The bike also came with a Laminar Lip, but I would like to get the airflow going a little bit higher. What kind of screen is that in the photo? Does it do the job? asking who?

My bad. If you check back on this thread (it's pretty old by now, and I got here by accident), I'm still curious. The Laminar Lip puts the air right in my face, though I can duck down out of it. But I'm putting risers on to give my wrists a break. Anyway, what kind of windshield is that? Does it do the job? And are you taller or shorter than my 5'8"? Craig

man, for a worldwide forum there sure are a hell of a lot of guys on here from Georgia. at least 10 of us that I know of, anyway to answer your question about windshields. there are a few taller windshields available in the US market there are a hell of a lot available in the European market I suggest an eBay search or you use the search bar here at the forum and look for a thread called need help with German in this section . that'll put you on to about three good links for taller windshields

I have done 2500ks in 2 days. Here are my tips. Forget Corbin Seats. I know some people lovem, but the lower the seat by 20mm and have a thinner seat. This make it harder on your knees. Better to raise the seat making it thicker and get foam added on the side a little to make it wider at the ass. Use Longhair Sheepskin. Take frequent small <5min breaks rather then big ones. Take ibrofruen and also eat Bananas When the road is clear stand up and stretch. Do neck exercises while riding. But its just something you get used to.

You can also replace the footpegs with race issues, Small ones in aluminium, without the rubber. I have done it. The vibes only get a little worse, and thats only by a fraction. But they ad 1 cm more in leg room which is GREAT + it looks great. Adding those race pegs has made my Cane so much more comfy on longer trips, that I can spend at least a couple of hours more in the saddle each day with much lesser pain in my knees... Another thing is using an Airhawk air cushion. They work very well! No sore but, and again ads 1-1½ cm more in leg room. Combining those two things with an MRA vario tourind screen and you have an full blown tour bus! No sore but and knees together with the screen that is adjustable to your chosen speed and prefered airpressure The picture is from my trip to the Austrian alps this year. Thanks for the tips Noe. I'll see if i can find some aftermarket pegs when i'm in the shops again. I always thought i had to buy complete foot controls. Every Centimeter counts as i'm currently touching the pointy bits of the fairing with my knees when touring.

I have stressed in both threads concerning being uncomfortable in the need of risers and lowering foot pegs and etc. etc. etc. that one needs to practice proper riding technique hell that was the reason I dug this thread out of the archives but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears
