I've flown threw there a few times ;)

I've been your way a few times as well... enroute to other places mostly but I roughly know the area. Probably won't be over for a few years now as getting older puts deeper roots...

Cheers,
woot.

woot, just checked out your home page, a very good friend of mine as emigrated to ottawa but does a lot of business in Halifax and another town that sounds more like a name than a place :)

If we're talking major towns in Nova Scotia it could be Sydney... funny thing about it is that I travel to Ottawa frequently for work... it's a small world.

Older? Definately feeling older today... ;) No, what I meant was that family is hard to travel with and even harder to leave behind ;)... Now my English relatives travel here and stay with us, instead of the other way around.

I'm horribly outnumbered by women... and in a democratic household that means I've got to maintain my two-wheel status.

My girl is 7 now... when I had my old 600 ninja she was petrified of it... was too loud and she didn't like the noise at all. Now I see her looking at the cbr and I know she wants to go for a ride soon. Funny thing is that this bike is alot louder than the ninja ever was (not my idea of fun, but that's the pipe she came with) I'll be waiting a bit longer - and then I'll have to find her some gear...

I might have to go to England for the gear, you've got far superior gear shops. When I was looking for winter gloves I couldn't find much around here - over in England I found man pairs. I think the difference is where I live no one is stupid enough to ride in the winter (myself excluded ;)) and over there you have some cold cold rains to deal with, but nothing bad enough to force you to put the bike away. I'd be looking for something like a karting suit... but as I said before waiting for her to be a bit older.

I've had strict orders he's not to come riding with me for years to come :) He too doesn't really like the noise, just sitting on it when it's parked. There does sem to be a lot of kids clothing about here, all based at the off road (dirt bike) market. Seems to be a growing trend here. I saw a kiddies trials event last weekend, kinda cute.

I drive 108 miles a day to work and back. Not including evenings and weekends. I drive on average of 75 mph. That is average. I get 42 to 44 mpg every time. My gas light comes on almost on the dot of 126 miles. Usally 2.9 gallons to fill up. I wheelie on average of 12 - 14 times daily. Accelerate hard about 6 times from 30 to 80. Kinda monotoned after 5 days a week.

I get about 48 mpg when I go to fill up. Yesterday I put in 3 gallons and went 145 miles on that tank.

I always put in 93 but I see some people put in 91. What are the differences between the two and is 93 necessary? What is best octane level to run on?
