I figure I've had the bike long enough to give it a good cleaning. If I had it my way, I'd disassemble it to the frame and clean every single part and replace all the wiring, but that's too much work. So anyone have any suggestions that would get the bike as clean as a chemical bath? I'm talking show quality, white glove inspection clean (or as close as I can get).

Someone told me that he uses Engine Gunk. I think I'll give it a try maybe tonight or tomorrow.

WTX chain cleaner is better than engine gunk or brake clean and it is ok to use on your plastics

I don't like the residue that Engine Gunk left on my hoses. The bike got cleaner, but I would like to do it again. I used it on plastics fine. I dont think I let it stay on the full time the directions state.

hey Jaybird you are doing all wroung dude, to clean my bikes i use no water at all.I take the farings off and spary simpelgreen and a clean rag,it does a great job on all pats of the bike even the oily rear wheel. After i clean all the oily and gritty mess out and on the bike I use a u v protector on the hoses to keep them soft and shinny (Like my Hinny) HA HA then put every thing back together and go over it with honda clean it verry good stuff. Then i go out and ride and ride and ride.
