Well, I WAS having a good night... until some 17 year old ass hat came around a tight corner (was out in some back road twisties about 40 minutes from my town) in his mom's new impreza turbo wagon.. 3/4 of the way in my lane, I screamed holy shit in my helmet and threw on the brakes whislt my bike slid out from under me and off into the ditch. I got a nice cut and scrapes on my leg and bruises up and down my back as well. The bike has scuffed to hell fairings, smashed windshield and upper's, the tail even got a good deal of rash somehow..

It all happened so fast, and the kid never stopped. He probably thought I made the corner or something, which is probably good because I would have killed him with the shards of plastic on the road. One thing I knew I was coming into a corner getting the bike over, the next thing I know, I'm laying 5 feet away down the ditch looking at my bike still running thinking to myself.. aww shit, the motors gonna burn out but it stalled out about a second later.

I had a good 40 minute limp home to contemplate life, while being blown around by the wind because my windshield was shattered into tons of pieces. Pieces of fairing and windshield in my pocket for no real good reason and lots of swearing going on in my head.

Anyways.. if anyone has a a blue smoked windshield or knows where to get one for a reasonable price, please let me know.

Wow, man, I am so sorry. At least when I say "I know how you feel" you know I'm telling you the truth.

Dang, I'm so sorry man, I hate to hear it. If I was in that situation I would hope I would be man enough to take responsibility and not drive off like a jackass. But thats the way people are these days. I hope you get your bike back in good shape bud. The bright side is your alive, which is whats really important isn't it.

Sorry to hear about your spill,
The main thing is that your ok
I had the same problem not that long ago but I was able to claim off the other guys insurance
screen top left fairing, mirror, lower fairing, fairing bracket, total cost £1889.00
plus £55 a day for the hire bike i screwed out of his insurance too.

There are lots of after market screens here in the UK very cheap too, I put a smoke tint on mine before accident it cost £35.00

Guess what some little t**t has knocked my bike over at weekend while it was parked outside my house and bust the brand new top fairing again

Hope you get yours sorted real soon, it's a bummer when the summers here and you cant ride your bike.
