If you have a 600 F4i, or 600 RR, you will need to drill a whole into your fairing because it will go somewhere on the middle. I think frame sliders are the most important mod you can do on a bike, because it protects your frame a lot. I also recommend getting swing arm sliders that go on your swing arm. This will protect your swing arm from getting wrecked badly. Bar end sliders are also important because it would save your handle bars from getting all rashed up when you fall. Hope this helps somewhat!

After you drill the holes in your fairings, then frame sliders should be mounted directly onto your engine bolts. Yes they are a good mod, especially for new riders.

Sliders are cheap under $50. There is an installation procedure on this forum that involves playdoh or putty that is very helpful. There is also another that uses a laser level that sounds good too. Do a search on it before you try and install them on your own.

i use vortex sliders and have crash tested them several times, they are awesome any delrin sliders other than the no-cut ones will be fine (no cut sliders are crap, don't even go there)

I'm a new rider too and I decided I'm not going to put sliders on my '06 bike. I just hope I don't crash. It sounds like EVERYONE on this forum has crashed. lol Is that normal for everyone who owns a bike to crash it? hahahaha Maybe I'm just an overly careful person. Mike
