My bike, cbr 600f4i was just stolen not too long ago and im in the market for a new one, anyway a guy in town is selling an 03 954 with 2400 miles with a jet kit, a Akripovic pipe, and a few other goodies. Anyway 2 questions, 1. for 7000 is that a decent deal for a 954? I checked on the forms a bit and read people buying some for cheaper and some for more so its dont really help alot. I checked the kelly blue book and its rates a 03 954 for 7000 so im not getting riped off but tell me what you guys think. Second and most important how do you guys like your bike overall? Ive been told the 954 is a beast but a great handling bike, but i really need some feedback from some owners. Please tell me what you like and dont like about the bike? For me i would be using it for both work and for fun. More or less work but thats cuz of the price of gas right now. Money is not really an issue, i just want to get a good bike but at the same time dont want to spend the money on a brand new one. thanks guys.

Greyfox5, i cant tell ya if its cheao or not because im from Australia and i dont know the exchange rate so sorry on that question. As for the 2nd question i can answer that one. I own 2003 954 and it is the best bike i have owned hands down. I havnt had 1 problem with it. I just make sure it gets serviced regularly. When i was looking to buy a bike i tried GSXR100 Zx-10R and 1000cc bikes and out of all of them it was the best ride. Smooth and handles like a dream. I found it has more pull down low in the rev range as well. I wouldnt trade it for anything. I hope that helps you out mate..

Whats up dude
The price on that 954 sounds reasonable i bought mine for 6500 and its a 2003 and it had 3200 miles. As for the ride i would not change it for nothing . The bike is well balanced pulls lovely can take a beating and still run good . Ive had no problems with the bike you definitely will not be dissapointed.

I love my 2003 954. the bike is fast, handles great and my buddies on their 2004 zx10 and R1 cant keep up with me (they just lack riding experience) The only problem with the 954 is that they dont make it anymore! I wouldnt trade it for anything! Now only if I can get my hands on a new one!!!

Hi there, i have just traded in my 600F (F4i in the states) for a 2004 954 blade. It feels much like the 600 did for chucking around but with much more grunt. Loving it so far, you'll definently not look back if you get one. I paid 5800 GBP so can't really comment how much they go for over your way. my new blade, not a very good picture

First post, so hello.

Got my bike with 4,500 miles, Two Brothers pipe, frame sliders, fender eliminator, and flush mounts up front for $6000.

Bike was in pristine shape and I'm quite pleased with it. Handles quite well, but it's more bike than I need right now. I've been outta the game for ten years, so this is kinda all new to me again. Put it this way, it'll do way more than I think I want it to do.

They made a 2004 954 over in europe??????
I thought they only made the CBR 954 in 2002 and 2003?

It was registered on the 1st of april 2004, same sort of time as you could get the 1000RR4 over here

Is the 02 and 03 954RR's here in the state's the same? I'm also trying to figure out the difference between the California 954RR's and the 49-state's?

By jet kit, do you mean a power commander (I ask because the 954 is fuel injected and has throttle bodies, not carbs)? I bought mine for 7k with 4800 miles on it, so I think it's a reasonable deal. Just make sure it hasn't been beaten, stunted, etc. and that the head bearings, forks, seals, etc. are in good shape and it would seem like a steal! We're all slightly biased I think... but I love my 954. It's light, agile, powerful, limited edition (02-03), sleek, and has a front that looks like a damn fighter plane! What isn't there to love!?

hey assassin, the only diff. with the Cali bike is a catalytic converter that weighs 11 lbs (or was it 9, i forget) but unsure how tough removal is. There's always an easy way on a Honda. My 03 954 is rarely seen from anywhere other than WAY BACK!!! Could really use steering damper though...still can't decide between Arrow, or do I go Ohlins? Any thoughts??
