sirlimpzalot -> RE: Front tire (8/25/2004 12:23:34 AM)

the bike came stock with a 120/60-17 Bridgestone Battalax BT-50 in most cases...but most people go to a 120/70-17 tire (which is a much more common size nowadays) to give better feedback since that tire has more sidewall when leaned over at max lean ( such as a trackday) just be sure that the fender has clearance and has room for expansion since a tire usually "swells" at high speed. This taller tire might slightly slow down your steering response, and you can counter this effect by moving the fork tubes up slightly to compensate..if you are not sure or uneasy doing this, any motorcycle shop that is worth anything should be able to help you..Where do you live?? The tire info is also located on the frame tag that has the VIN number..it should have the GVWR, tire size, ect....I am talking about the tag that has 1995 visable on it in BIG BOLD LETTERING and at one corner it will have the model of your bike as well. I hope this helps. Take Care
