I’m looking to get a 600cc sports bike, whether it be the r6, gsxr600, or the cbr600, and all of them that I sit on are too high off the ground, I’m only 5’5” and I can only get my toes on the ground, and I’m not interested in any other types of bikes. I was told they can be lowered either 1 or 3 inches, but I also heard that lowering the bike really compromises the handling and it can cause damage and problems with the bike, so I’m not really up for getting a bike lowered. I was also told I could get the seat reupholstered and take an inch of padding out to get me lower to the ground. Does anyone have any other solution so I can at least get the balls of my feet on the ground?

Hello & Welcome!! I'm 5'2" and ride an F4i (not lowered). You have 3 inches on me to be complaining - LOL! The height takes some getting used to. I wouldn't lower the bike, but others have different opinions. The handling, riding, etc. just doesn't work for me. Most are not totally flat footed and that is ok, just balance your bike on one leg. What are you looking to get?
