i put her down recently and got some damage to the left stator cap (engine cover) i was told there is nothing in there so the cap could just easily be switched... i opened it and oil started coming out and i screwed it back on... long story short how do i replace the cover??

drain the oil, remove bolts, swap covers (w/ new gasket), replace bolts

yea, your engine has oil in it:-p like was said earlier, old one off, new one on. there is the coil for your alternator mounted inside of the cover, but thats 4 bolts and its off, just put that in the new cover. be sure to scrape of fthe old gasket w/ a razor or something similar, and wipe the surface clear of oil, so the new gasket goes down alright
