Well, Im no expert and I wouldnt even consider trying one, but I know you need to take a rubber hammer and beat your gas tank in so you dont slide off when you whack it open. Of course, I'd maybe consider getting some of the tank pads meant for hanging off that are really grippy and stick those on the top instead of the sides? Cheaper than a new tank. Try sitting on the tank with your legs straddling the tank and do a wheelie like that first just to get a feel for it.

i'd say thats pretty good advice....im ont trying until i beat my tank in or throw some grip tape on...i can do high chair burnouts but couldnt imagine bringin it up like that....i'd say having a hand brake is probably a good idea, but i highly doubt you'll get anywhere close to BP when learning at first....

how about spreader wheelies? I'm going to get some skate board tape and put it on my tank for now and see how that works before I bash it in. Yesturday I tried to clutch it up in 1st stiing on the tank and I slid right back into the seat after I let the clutch out. I tried it in 2nd but I can't get the front to come up more than an inch or 2. I'm going to go see if someone has some tape now and see how that works. I think I'd try spreader wheelies first and then go to the highchair, but I don't know, mabye a highchair would be easier to hold your self on the bike.

i see where your coming from but think about this...you should probably get to the point where you can do spreaders and you feel comfortable and you dont slide off, because if you do try a highchair and you do start to slide, your pretty much ****ed...

well i have 2 tanks. ones dented one isn't. i'll add some grip tape and switch them up. thats what i suggest you guys do, then you can always put your minty tank back on.

spreaders first...that might be easier. probably easier to get to the seat. well i'll let ya know how it goes...

I also thought about that, but when your sittin in the highchair your legs are over the windscreen, or bars if you don't have an upper. But you can grip the windscreen with your legs to hold you on, but get some grip tape. I haven't even tried to get into a highchair yet LOL. But I couldn't find any tape anywhere today and didn't try anything new since I didn't have my jacket on today (95*) F**k that its too hot. The gear nazis can lick my sweaty nuts LOL. If I find some online I'll post up the link. I also tried to talk to some people to see if anyone around here knows how to dent a tank, but didn't have any luck. Any help there? Not to jack the thread or anything.

Pratice on a dirt bike man! I've been praticing them on my dirtbikes, and yes I have wrecked a few times, I went down the first 3 times I even attempted it, better on them than on the street, its going to be a while before I get to the point where I am thinking about trying it on the street. I know a few guys that can do spreaders very well, but have not attempted hi-chairs yet, so I guess speaders seem to be what people learn first, dosent mean you cant learn hichars first though, I know when I am on the dirtbikes its easier to do a hichair than a spreader, cause my legs are holding me on the front of the bike.

shit i don't even have a jacket, two t-shirts is all i wear.

i hear most ppl just use a deadblow hammer and start behind the gas lid. i'm not real sure on the process, look for a f4i tank already dented. or look for a shitty one ebay you can experiment with.

I saw a guy on a Gixxer stand on the tank and jump until it caved in...looked effective to me...

LOL I hear ya, last year I rode with hoodies and now I wear my textile (not mesh)99% of the time, but its still hot. I just don't want to try anything new without my jacket, gloves, jeans, and helmet. Thats just me and if you don't want to wear it I have no problem with it. I just hate it when the gear police jump all over you when your not wearing full leathers.

I just put up a post on stunt life about the tank, but I'll keep my eyes open on ebay for a tank, but I don't have a problem doing it to mine. If it gets all f**ked I'll just paint it this winter and smooth it all out and make it look minty again LOL

LOL that was a gixxer, they make their tanks out of tin foil don't they? No but seriously hondas tanks are alot harder that alot of the other bikes out there. On stuntlife.com there was a guy on a gixxer or something that landed a highchair wheelie hard and he said it dented his tank perfectly. Hondas are tough and will put up a fight LOL but I'll have a hammer so bring it hahahaha Wow I need to go to bed I've been up for way too long

Peace Out

yea i don't do any riding unless i have my helmet. i try no to think about the consequences if i **** up, even if i'm learning new shit.

ya i've heard of ppl just jumping up and down on a tank to get it dented in. i haven't needed to try that b/c i got a spare already dented. but what ever works, go for it.

I start the dent with my foot and finish it out with a dead blow. If you don't want to mess up your tank look on ebay. I just got a nice tank that had a little dent on the side for $54..The main thing with highchairs and spreaders is to clutch it hard because if you don't then you are still powering it some of the way and thats what makes you slide off the tank. If you clutch it hard you will come right up and still be on the tank if you dented it..

I always thought of Tank Wheelies as being spreaders. I tried a few in first on the F4i and it wasnt to bad. I got up up there pretty high but not to the BP the gear just kept winding out because I didnt have the balls to bring it up high enough in a spreader.
