Hey TimBucTwo, that's cool. Question, where did those helmet locks come from? I don't think they were stock, were they? That's a 94?

Upon reading the thread title, I thought this would be about full face helmets and dark tinted visors. Alas, it's not. Carry on.

R1000- Thanks Illushum- The Helmet Guardian that I have I cut down. I hacksawed the ends and rounded the corners with a file. Re-painted the ends and re-drill for the lock to fit. Before I cut it down it had my stock fender flying all over the place. Don't get chrome. My brother's chrome is peeling off. http://www.sporttouringusa.com/www/helmetguard.htm dad- Shut uuuuuup! Hey! I just wanted to see how many hits I could get with a catchy title. Stinky-Way to easy of a job. I took a hacksaw and laied it against the turn signal using it as a guide and cut. I used a 1"hole saw and a smaller drill bit to make my three holes for the light. I pulled the light apart and used a 90 degree philips to turn the screw heads. You have to bent the ground tab 90 degrees for clearance. No washers needed. I did leave some fender behind the plate. EDIT: spelling of corse. Also: No I do not sleep with my trusty hacksaw under my pillow. Thumbnail Image

Illushun, The back end looks good! On a side note, would you mind telling me what type of exhaust you have on your bike? I looked at your gallery and couldn't read the name. Thanks so much!!

That exhaust is by Black Widow Racing. It is a dual baffle dual outlet carbon fiber can, a stainless mid pipe and a 4-2-1 Header. It is very light, adds, excellent mid range, and exellent hard acceleration from about 2400 rpm all the way right up to 8500 rpms and beyond. I like the system. It is matched to a k&n air filter and a stage 1.7 jet kit. It wasn't just loud but it was also annoying. So even though the system was relatively knew with less than 5000 miles on it, I reopend the can and rewrapped the baffle sytem differently than original. This dual baffle system had some sort of metal material (like steal wool) wrapped around the outer perimeter only of both baffles. So I did a test run of it before. Then when I repacked it, I thought of wrapping the packing material around each individual baffle then a secondary layer of wrap, then reassemble. This worked well and had positive results as noted above. Not only did I honestly believe i gained a little more responsiveness in the low, but definitely in the sound improvement category. I would compare these to being louder than a D&D which is typically that blatty loud rather than crisp from say a micron. Now that it is repacked, it sounds much more throaty yet crisp and refined...Holy cow, I was beginning to sound like a wine commercial. quote:
