I had an 88 stock, would pull around 150 with no wind........indicated, surely not actual. Actual top speed must be around 140 or so.

This site says 137.9 for an 88.

135 with my wife on the back, I had the bike like 4 days then and she wanted to see what it could do, so we dropped 3 gears and went, shifted and got to 135 in 4th in about a block.
160-ish by myself and she still had plenty of pickup, but I wussed out. So I coasted down to the speed limit, came to the next light, parked, changed my pants and hyperventilated for about 10 minutes. It was awesome. We have huge straightaways and awesome canyon driving in my neck of the woods.
And before you ask the speedo is off about 6.5 mph off at 75. We clocked it on a cops radar trap(unmanned). It says 75 i'm doing around 69.

I hit 140 or so. That was a perfectly calm day, on a brand new road with about 8 miles of wide open asphalt. Once I hit 140 I realized that death was tempted enough for a while, backed it down to 70 and just smiled.

Now that is funny. You could actually get an F1 to 185..........if you push it off a VERY tall bridge. Like I said, 145 on a GOOD day..maybe. My GSX-R will "only" go 179 radar verified (not by me) and it makes 140+hp. You're talking about an un aerodynamic (comparitively speaking) motorcycle with a little over half the power. Shit, a ZX-11 was only good for 176. I can only assume most published data is fairly accurate and the 137mph I posted above is pretty close to everything else I can find. Motorcyclist did one with the wind 144mph and one against 131mph and averaged it out. It's pretty close. As for the 185mph hurricane, some how your gears in the speedo got messed up, that is the best I can come up with right now. I sent you a PM. Check that out.

max speed is 185? my speedo only goes to 175. man, i feel gipped, i'm missing 2 ticks off my clock. but really, hondahurricane4life never says he did 185, only that the clock will go to 185. i think he misread the clock.

as for aero, well, the f1 is kinda blunt compared to sharp creased fairings one sees on late model stuff.

actually, the bike will do 185... in a category 5 HURRICANE!!!! CBR not included in this limited time offer. please check your local listings for rules and regulations.

You're right, he doesnt say he got it that fast, but the speedo does only go to 10 shy of that. Get a GPS and see. Or a radar gun.
