yo guys i got an 01 929 -1 up front, power commander, and d&d pipe. i was wondering what rpms u get it up when u clutch it. im great at power wheelies n can get it up in 1st n 2nd no prob n find the balancin point most of the time and can shift through the gears in a wheeli. but when i use power for standups it doesnt feel right.

I guess its kinda of a personal thing...but IM with nate I think clutch is better...brings it up easier, at lower RPMs which also makes it possible to wheelie at slower speeds. I also think its better for control. I started with pow-pow-power wheelies but after i learned how to clutch it up I aint ever lookin back.

Remember covering the rear brake also means USING IT...some of you may laugh but Ive heard of kids who are good at covering the rear brake but are scared to really use it.

if u need to bring it down either use the rear brake or chop the throttle...but make sure to get back on the throttle some after it starts to come down or its gonna slam the front end down same as pullin in the clutch and that sux.

If your shifting through gears your not in BP

Yo chirs( frat 40) why are you asking questions like that you only had this bike for three weeks and your doing the longest sickest wheelies I ever seen you were clutching the 600 you should have no problem with the RR.. Trust me guys this kid is good he had the bike for 3 days we went out to a back street around here its about 4 miles long and striate he wheelied just about the hole damn thing and that’s only after 3 days

I have always used power instead of clutch for wheelie's. I find its a lot easier to control. The only time I use the clutch is if I am riding on a bike that lacks in power. I like to roll on the power and then let off a little in order to compress the front forks after the forks compress a little i roll back on the power bringing the front wheel up in a controlled manner.

My 929 (stock with Micron exhaust) I just roll on the throttle in first and it comes right up. at 45 or so it comes up really quick. 2nd I just use the clutch any where from 50-80 comes right up. If I feel the need for speed get going about 75 in 3rd stand up and clutch and bounce and u can rock it all day with out being too twitchy just my 2cents

alright so when you get it up in 1st and shift into second, do you use the clutch or just click it up?
