I like to use muratic acid. If that's how you spell it. Just make sure you wear some good rubber gloves when you pour it in the tank.

So some of you actually put water and acid (not at the same time) to comopensate for gas. It still runs with water? I'm confused

my bikes pay for themselves in no time. I have a 02' quad cab dodge with a 8in sky-jacker lift and 2in pro-comp body with 44's, ported and polished heads, ram intake and msd ignition, that damn thing eats gas like it's cool, looks sharp as hell, but a tee-total pain in every other aspect. Costs me 75-100 a week in gas to drive it strictly to work and back, only 8mi, now my bike costs 13 a week in premium, taking the long way home. I suspended the insurance on my truck sometime last year as I never drive it, I rode 358 days last year, the rest were when there was ice on the road. I start the truck once a week to operating temp, and kep the oil changed in case I need to drive it, but other than that, I just ride my bike everywhere for everything. Cost effective for me anyway.

Someone might be searching for a new gas tank (among other parts) on eBay real soon

Good catch.

You guys are funny...I'm going to spoil the party. Do NOT put acid or water in your fuel system. It will ruin it. Diesel fuel will help keep it clean and water free if used from time to time.
