i race a 2004 600rr and all i have done is -1 front sprocket and a adjustable lowering link. Im pulling 1.69 60 ft. times and i really don't have a issue with the front wheel coming up you just got to let the clutches eat the power that youre bike can't handle i have mine set up where it can go back to factory settings easy. as far as strapping the front end i've never messed with it but we have tossed around an idea of going into the internals of the forks and putting a preload spring into the forks this takes out all of the unused upwards travel on the front end which means that the bike has to carry the full weight of the front end up from a lower point and makes wheeling alot harder.

not too much power. Its called not enough racing skill. If you would be easier on the clutch you should be able to keep the front end down. OR get a wheelie bar like i have on my bike.
