kerosene to clean and synthetic gear oil (80 or 90 weight) to lube. Honda polish will clean off any fling. My chain maintenance just isn't very exciting

im not sure what brand it is. its a gold colored chain, thats all i know. could be either DID or RK. either are good chains

I would love to see a chain that has done 24K and I bet the chain manufacturers would too
Even DID XXX only last approx 7000mls thats going easy on it.

Getting back to chain lub'
Have a look and see what Honda recommend for Lubing chains, I'm sure they put a lot of time & research into their technology

SAE 80/90W gear oil and you can use the WD40 to clean the back wheel afterwards

Good point on cleaning the rear wheel _ What's the best way to remove lube when accidentally sprayed onto the tyre?

i guess need to mail it to you then huh? if youre getting under 10K on a chain you are DEFINATELY riding it hard or giving alot of fat girls free rides.

I just use whatever chain lube is sold at the Honda dealership
