I hoped on my bike after work and the steering felt real weird.... real tight at slow speeds... felt like it was fighting me to try to make a turn... 06 cbr 1k with 3k miles on it.... has anyone else had a steering issue or maybe could shed some light on this for me... thanks in advance... -Brent

Sounds like your front tire may just be low on air, but here's how to test your dampener. Lift the front tire off the ground, put the bike into any gear other than neutral, open throttle completely, and turn the key on. This puts the HESD in test mode where the light will blink, and the dampener will operate at full strength for ten seconds. Try turning your steering from side to side and you should feel a 'slight' resistence. If you don't have a front stand, you can just do it on your side stand, and then just lean the bike off the front tire to turn it.
