if you have a good record you wont even come close to jail if you run. my buddy ran from the cops doin 120 and went through 3 towns before they caught him with a road block. nothings faster than the radio haha. he didnt have a perfect record at all but they only took his motorcycles license for 2 years.

not sure where he's at, but here in socal...they'll give you the beat down...if you run...but if you're the wrong socio-economic status and ethnicity in the wrong neighborhood, beat downs are likely even if you're not doing anything at all! ahhaha...

fastest i've gone is like 999...that's what the speedo said as i was rollling down the driveway and turned on the key.

There are two solutions for that.

1. Wear gear. June bugs in the chest aren't a problem with a jacket.
2. Don't ride 135mph.

135 with a t-shirt is suicidal. Leather can take a 135mph pavement slide. Skin cannot. You would look like ground beef. You were being careful and knew that strech of road right? Ever seen what happens when a bike hits a squirrel, rabbit, or god forbid a deer at 100+?

It's your body true enough.....but think about how your mom would feel watching then scrub your open wounds with steel wool.

I have a son and a wife, so I think my life is worth a little more than a couple seconds worth of stupidity.

+1 on that.. and the reason why most people dont have a nice jacket or suit is because they cant afford it! suits are around $1000 and they dont think of what there life is worth to them before they go out! the only peice of leather i dont wear is pants i wear jeans .... i always wear my helmet, boots, gloves and jacket because i have been down and know what it feels like! "there are people that have been down.. and there are people how are going to go down!" so think twice before you do that kind of shit on a bike! if you hit the pavment at 100+ with out gear or a helmet.. your life will be over! heres my helmet!

shit I hit 150 this week, and a huge bug hit my helmet screen and I thought that damn thing was gonna crack. But I was on the track with full race gear on, I agree with everybody I would not ride 150 on the streets. Once you ride on the track you will never ride hard on the streets again.

Blackdog, this post can go on forever, but i want to commend you on your wisdom...you have very good points and i want to say thanks from a fairly new rider to someone who has been on the roads long enough to understand stupidity and how to stay away

i dont get it, everyone tells how stupid it is.
well DUH!
cmon guys, we all know you can be seriously splattered at anytime. i doubt going 100+ is more dangerous than riding in traffic. you gotta know where your personal limits are and if you dont know you really shouldnt be on the road on any vehicle.
we all could die tomorrow so might as well live now. if your not comftorble putting yourself at risk of death, dont ride and dont tell others how to ride.

for you guys that say it's your life and you can do with it what you want . i say your right, but there are also people that care and love your ass and want you to be able to walk and wipe your own butt.so grow up a little and slow down. i have ridden fast myself but iam learning to slow down and yes you can have fun riding at a lower speed. set goals for yourself like learning how to really ride and sportbike things like smoothness correct lines in and out of a corner. learning how to stop in case someone cuts you off.how many times do you come up behind someone and you watch how they are really not in good control of there bike. learn what they don't know.learn how to be one with your bike, you think turn and it does.learn when to make your turn into a corner. you can do all these without an excess of speed.believe me learning how to ride a sportbike takes time and you learn at slower speeds where there is less chance to get hurt.I love this site and want to see all you guys around for awhile.
