I hit 150 mph this morning on the 15 north before the 91 freeway on my way to work.

That's the fastest I've gone on this bike.

It felt like it will go faster. What's top speed on these bikes anyway??

That depends.......

with you on it, or with you bouncing down the freeway on your head?

I really hope there wasn't any other traffic around you.

150~160mph is tops with stock gearing. It depends on how much of you is sticking out in the wind.

BTW, your speedometer can be up to 15% high from the factory.

keep in mind that LEO's occasionally tread bike forums...
and doing so on a public highway during morning commute means that you put everyone else's life in danger.

Not that I'm concerned about it, I have yet to break the speed limit.

been there done that once. not worth it on public roads imo. save it for the track, you'll be kisin your ass goodbye sooner or later if you keep it up. just think if you hit anything in the road at that speed. the highway isn't a prepped race surface.

ya ive had a few tank slappers they suck!!! but as to 150 ya hopefully u were on a secluded road if ur gonna do that stuff although i really dont care if u do, i mean i hit 150-160 ocassionally but the road i do it on had maybe 3 cars a day come down it its really secluded and straight. well be careful one trip over a 100 could be ur last although it is fun. ya and if u do hitr a bump at that speed ur gonna get the shit scared out of ya if u stay up. ive got that death wobble(dont know what its really called) at about 130-140 man i thought i was goin down but i stayed up but i about shit myself after that 1.

My max is 118 so far. I'll tell you what I didn't even know I was going that fast. I was just out on some long smooth straight highways crouched down and just let her rip. Looked down and oh crap I'm going 118! lol I love going out on some of these highways that are 55mph and taking the long sweepers at 100! Man that's such an exhilarating feeling it's so awesome way too fun!!! But I think I still prefer the 15-30mph twisties at 50ish and really pushing the bike hard in corners. Seems safer and more difficult as 100 around a 55mph corner is easy you barely have to lean the bike and it's a bit more scary.

Mike

Glad you are from Canada. Here that would have ended with you in jail and your bike impounded. Running is a Felony anywhere in the US.

As far as dampers go, you don't need one if your suspension is setup properly. The F4i is a fairly stable bike. You will get tankslappers if you do something stupid. I got a light one from accelerating hard over a hill. Nedless to say I don't do that anymore.
