Hi folks, I'm new so HELLO and great site.
Can anyone tell me what 17" wheel will fit my 95' blade 900. I've asked a few people and none of them can give me straight answer. Any help much needed. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the site. From what I understand a front wheel off a Honda CBR600F3 will bolt right onto the 95 900RR's. I have a 95 900RR as well and have been thinking about the swap. I have talked to a few people who have done it, but there is really no performance or handeling gain. The only thing you get out of it is a wider selection of tires.

Hi, thanks for the info. Just trying to get rid of that 'drop in' feeling I get. Been told that this is the cure. Hope so.

Oh but the 17" front tire on a blade actually does do something besides a better selection of tires...

It handles better. Buddy of mine has a 94 900 with the 17" ft. tire. It actually handles curves alot better than my bike with the 16" ft. Tire.

Tis Tis man... lol

Hmmm,
See I have heard just the oposite. I have a friend with the swap done and he said he didn't really gain anything from it. I have heard from a few people who run their 900's on the track and most of them seem to prefer the 16" front. I've never ridden a 900 with the 17, so I have no personal experience with it. I would think with the 16" that is alittle smaller, it would turn in quicker then a bigger/taller 17. I may have to track my friend down and take his for a ride. I'm curious now.

The main reason for switching to the 17" front hoop is a vastly wider selection of rubber. You can't even get the latest compounds and constructions in a 16" tire anymore.
As far as handling differences, that would be more affected by the shape of the tire. Some 17" tires are shorter and more triangulated than some 16" tires.

F3 and VFR wheels will bolt right on with the right spacers.

Yeah, I agree with the diff types of compounds, which would probably affect the way the bike handles, so we both could be right ya know..
