I'm noticing in several track pics that most dont cover the brake and clutch.... Is my way considered bad practice? I can sometimes get my hand off the clutch lever but I cannot get my fingers off the brake, it doesn't affect me any through turns or any other time, but I've noticed most people dont cover.... or the Moto GP guys. Bad practice? Anybody else do it?

it's not bad practice....it's just preference...it cuts milliseconds off moving the fingers to grab the brakes. i see other racers grab brakes...haven't pay attention to the clutch though. i though that i do grab the brake but not clutch, but going into my pix...i don't grab either...maybe i should start. the way i see it, when i'm so slow that no one is left behind me and the dude in front of me is miles away...there's no need for me to keep on the brakes... in the twisties then that would be a different story...varments, squids, all type of critters to jump out at you! you redo the suspension yet? looks like you drag hard parts quite often...and either your fairing or kickstand next!

I'm suprised you can tell from photos alone. To answer your question about the suspension, no I have not added any suspension components. I'm going to rebuild the forks this winter. I've stiffened up the rebound and added a bit of preload to the front. Only adjusted preload in the rear. I have had troubles with scraping the pegs every once in a while, only when my body position gets lazy. What would you do differently?

well according to the pix, you're what...maybe 160-170 with gear? i'm not sure what the speed is or how tight of a turn or anything but it just 'looks' like your suspension is compressing a lot. this means super duper fast with lots of G's...but also maybe weak suspension. i'd get the front to match your weight and also throw a penske in the rear or something. i was scraping midpipe and thought it was just me or something but then the camera dude and also my buddy pointed out that my suspension was compressing tons that's why i was losing clearance...it could be from getting faster...OR FATTER...muahahahhaha... i got the forks and shock to match my fastass and now it rides totally different. i don't drift wide coming out of turns and no more scraping!

Nice guess with the weight too! a smidge over 180 with the gear. It IS gonna have to wait till next season cuz im a broke ass. Thanks for the advice tahoe
