Hello all as iam new to the thread. I use to have a Kawai ZRX1100 which i totaled the crap out of and now looking to get a new bike.
I've came down between two bikes. (1)2001 CBR600F4 w/ 3412miles(stock) for $4,900 and (2)2000 CBR600F4 w/ 6000miles(2bros exhaust)new rear tire and 2helmets for $4600.
My question is any big diffrence between the two bikes? Does either one of these deals look better to you? Neither bike has been dropped and they claim are in mint condition. I'm going this weekend to check out both of them and will be bringing one of them home if all goes good. Is there anything I should check for or pay attention when test driving, etc?
And lastly are these even good deals?
Thanks in advance

PS- heres me and my old bike.R.I.P.

Hi and welcome to the boards. Sorry to hear about your accident on the Kawi. Glad you are still around to ride again. Both of the cbr's sound like great deals. Both are f4's so they are identical. As long as both were broken in properly, then they are still low mileage and going to be a deal. It really depends if you want a bone stock bike to modify and do stuff to yourself, or if you want something that has alittle work done to it. If they both look good and ride the same, I would probably go for the second one. You are getting a new rear tire ($150) an exhaust ($300 +), and helmets. If you already have helmets, then put them for sale on here or ebay. The big thing is look the bikes over carefully. Make sure they are both clean titles. Good luck with your decision and let us know which one you get.

The 2000 CBR600F4 is carburated, the 2001 F4i is fuel injected as well as the obvious styling changes ( 2 headlights, 2 piece seat, different tailsection, ect...) the main frames, engine ( for the most part) and running gear is the same.
Below is a picture of a 1999-2000 CBR600F4 ( not F4i)

How is the fuel injection on these bikes(f4i) is it a noticble diffrence than then the previous models carbs? If theres not a big diffrence then i think im gonna lean towardsthe 2000 model just b/c of the extra gear involved (that is if bikes checks out ok)

The F4 has a stronger midrange hit, but the F4i ( injected) is smoother and compensates for altitude (if you ride in the mountains) better. Either way you will have a great bike. The F4 is more comfortable also....

I would go with the F4i. It's one model revision newer and will be worth more come re-sale time.
Beat him up a little on the price.
