not too bad, but i like the 06 better. It looks like a GSXR/R6/Honda. They should have done something more original.

You guys do realize that HONDA started that style front end with the rc 51...... right? Everybody keeps saying R6 R6!.... cmon... its more rc51 than r6.... It is a bit different, but everyone is making huge assumptions everywhere else as to how sh**! a bike it is after seeing a few pics... hahaha... you can tell riders and lookers by the reaction from the pics... cmon, its new stuff... its similar to the others but its also different. I just cant wait to test ride one... they should be naaaasty :D 120ish bhp... on a 600... jesus...

I wouldn't believe any power/weight figures yet. I also doubt seriously that it'll have 120 hp...not out of a 600. Overall I give it 8/10. The worst is that rediculous tail light on the mudflap.

The result was a claimed 20lb reduction in dry weight over the 2006 model, from 361 lbs to 341 lbs. While the new engine is smaller and lighter than it's predecessor, it also offers increased performance, to the tune of a claimed 118hp (at the flywheel) at 13,500rpm The reflexes of the new bike are sharpened by its 22mm (0.86") shorter wheelbase Honda Electronic Steering Damper The smaller, sharper-edged new front upper fairing is dominated by the large central ram-air duct (which feeds the airbox through an opening in the steering head section of the frame), and is seperated from the sides of the fairing by a large gap The new three-spoke cast aluminum wheels are also lighter than those on the '06 bike Thumbnail Image
Finally a real gas guage Thumbnail Image
HERES THE RC51 NOSE, JUST SO NO ONE GETS THE 600RR NOSE CONFUSED WITH THE R6 Thumbnail Image

It still looks more like an R6 in the front than an RC51...way more but the front still looks good. Hate the tach...looks like it came off a Honda Element or something with big ass numbers. If the hp at the crank is 118 approx, that should be like 105-110 at the wheel - not much of an improvement. The HESD is a nice add on, but not needed on a 600. I would've rather seen a hydra clutch or a slipper instead...a cable clutch for 2007? Come on.

BHP is the power the engine makes without considering the loss of power as the power makes its journey to the rear wheel. Obviousy wheel HP is the power existing at the rear wheel

THANK YOU!!! Jesus f**king christ! Now I know that I'm not the only one who has some of the same opinions about the '07 CBR. I actually got to go out to Vegas with one of my friends who works for Honda for the "Honda Show".. After seeing it in person and talking to my buds...here's my conclusion: 1) It DEFINATELY looks like an R6 from the tank on up it also has Gixxer fairings and a Gixxer tail/rearend. Yeah, it does look like an RC51, but after the new Gixxer and R6 came out...Honda created this, this...thing which looks like to me that Honda is trying to "copy" the goods from the other "Japanese 4". When I sat on itand took it for a "loop" it felt like sitting on a Gixxer a little more comfortable than the previous models with the "power" of a new R6, with the "same" high revving. My conclusion: I'm V-E-R-Y disappointed with the new '07 CBR 600RR. Honda's losing their touch and it's a f**king shame! Honda ALWAYS had set themselves apart from the others, but nooo, not for '07. 120 +/- hp is not at the wheel, it's at the crank but that's still nice. I absolutely hate the color schemes, looks to me like homo colors. After all of the hype the past couple of months, I was expecting ALOT more from Honda. The 1000's are getting new colors, but that's about it. Oh well, even though I'm upset, I'll always be a Honda fan.

Oh the brake in "brake horsepower" has nothing to do with the brakes on your bike or car. Its referring to the device that measures the torque of an engine and from this they do some math and come up with the BHP.
