THANK YOU!!! Jesus f**king christ! Now I know that I'm not the only one who has some of the same opinions about the '07 CBR. I actually got to go out to Vegas with one of my friends who works for Honda for the "Honda Show".. After seeing it in person and talking to my buds...here's my conclusion: 1) It DEFINATELY looks like an R6 from the tank on up it also has Gixxer fairings and a Gixxer tail/rearend. Yeah, it does look like an RC51, but after the new Gixxer and R6 came out...Honda created this, this...thing which looks like to me that Honda is trying to "copy" the goods from the other "Japanese 4". When I sat on itand took it for a "loop" it felt like sitting on a Gixxer a little more comfortable than the previous models with the "power" of a new R6, with the "same" high revving. My conclusion: I'm V-E-R-Y disappointed with the new '07 CBR 600RR. Honda's losing their touch and it's a f**king shame! Honda ALWAYS had set themselves apart from the others, but nooo, not for '07. 120 +/- hp is not at the wheel, it's at the crank but that's still nice. I absolutely hate the color schemes, looks to me like homo colors. After all of the hype the past couple of months, I was expecting ALOT more from Honda. The 1000's are getting new colors, but that's about it. Oh well, even though I'm upset, I'll always be a Honda fan.

+1 all i can say is im glad i got the 06 instead of waiting it out for the 07 its very un honda like.

Well the HP numbers and weight that I put were from one of the websites posted but Honda still hasnt come out and said the actual HP or weight. I think I would choose the 07 over the 06 if the HP was a little higher. The whole bike is smaller from front to back but its got more HP. To me sounds closer to the weight/power ratio that it needs.

I'm glad they kept the undertail exhaust as it looks bad@$$ on a 600rr
they could have easily done a small exhaust to save a few pounds more

rumors have it MSPR $9,499 but i think that's a joke
they will never sell at that price... people will buy competitors bike or even F4i for 1K less

I'm not a huge fan of the front end...

BUT my main complaint is the exhaust!!! Look at how big the muffler is!!!!!! (check out the pic of the underside!!) And what's up with the brake light mounted UNDER the exhaust now?? Can you say "aftermarket nightmare"?

Still looks good though!

BHP = British Horse Power
RWHP = HP at the wheel(s) on a dyno
HP = same as BHP

I've been stewing over the new '07 all day, obviously from my other posts, and the more I think about it the more disgusted I am. I believe Honda completely copied the front from the R6 and the fairings from gixxers, as someone said above ^ in an effort to try to sway potential yami and gixxer buyers onto the Honda, which I can't blame them, but seriously, come up with new ideas. To top it all off they're still using the heinous turn signals since 1985 or whenever...point is a long time. Tail light on the mud flap? Whomever came up with that idea should be beaten. I can see it for track days just removing it, but even most track guys ride it on the street and don't want a gay light hanging down. I'm sure it's wired so that even removing it for track days would be a pain.
All in all, I'm sure it's a fine machine and still sweet, but I won't be buying one. I had better get a 1000 RR next year before they ruin that. end rant.

Everyone is banging on that front end and the whole they copied and not original thing. Its a race developed front end. Its probably the most arrow dynamic front end out there. Honda just like anyone else who designs a new vehicle will buy all the competitions bikes and see what makes this better here and there. The front end was taken from the R6 RC51 and im sure had some help from the RC211v. Honda was just slow geting a new design out. Everyone else made a big change a lil while ago and now honda makes a change. Main thing is HP is up wieght is down. Nobody has seen it race or has put it to the test. So dont give up all hope. It may get out there and put the rest to shame.

I can see how the 07RR has two little points at the top and so does the R6 but I think you guys are lookin more at the headlights and the fact that there is a whole in the center of all three bikes.

Given the RR has had those same headlights for years.

Looks like they were trying to save a little bit of weight by taking off the 2 airvents under the front fairing and making it one in the center.

If it kicks ass and lets us brag about how hondas are killing the yamis and suzukis for the 07 ama races then who cares what it looks like, but IMO i think the 03-06 RRs are the best looking bikes out there
