I predict that manufacturers are going to streamline their product lines. In each cc catagory, have a fully-faired race-replica, and then have a naked street-bike in that growing market.

A 600rr will be great on the track and very good on the road, and if you want something a bit more relaxed, there is the 599. In the 1000cc class you have the 1000rr which is again great on the track or the street, but you have a 919 if you want more relaxed.

From a marketing angle, it makes sense to have few but more focused options to manufacture and sell.

maybe since there is a brand new 07 RR coming out, Honda will launch an F5 maybe based on the current 600RR model....

From what I have heard, then new 600RR has higher clip ons and a more relaxed riding position, but is otherwise pretty on edge (like the current ranks of track oriented 600's). Like a badass, but more comfortable 600RR.

Dealer said that the F4i and 599 are no longer being sold in the US. F4i is no longer being manufactured, so I was told.

Man! if this is really true, i sure picked the wrong year to notice how much i like the F4i!! I dont have a bike yet but planned on getting a new one after my beginner ex250r and honda's F4i was my ultimate choice, but with this all happening, i might have to turn towards Suzuki's gsxr line instead (closest sportbike with the F4i's riding position). In my opinion, the F4i had everything i was looking for, but it just lost the thing that matters the most... Availability!

I still hope they make an F5i or something, anything that would still have the level of comfort and uprightness as the F4i, would be fine with me.

man, is this still floating around...im sure honda will release info about the f4i shortly, i dont think it is getting replaced

Straight from Honda to a really good friend of mine who owns a high volume Honda shop. F4i and 599 are gone for next year.

Honda is getting rid of many bikes and not replacing them... while suzuki, kawasaki, and yamaha have multiple sports bike
