What's up everybody!  Well I'm not new to riding but new to Honda.  I was riding a Yamaha (go ahead and throw the stones) and that's only because it was a steal as my first bike.  I've always loved the RR's but didn't have the $$ to get a good one and the Yam just happen to be up for grabs.  Now I'm ready for an "upgrade" and I've fallen in love with the 2008 1K.  Once I'm done doing my one year tour overseas I'll head back home and pick me up one.  If anyone happens to get one between now and this time next year, let me know what you think.  I can't seem to find anything negative about it.  Looking forward to being a regular on this site...

Hello CBR Folks,

I am new to this forum.  Great to see it is here.  I am not new to riding though.  My first bike was a 1980 CX500 then moved on to my beloved 76 CB400F which will be my all time fave.  I currently have 2 CBR's for track only, a great use for these machines.  I have an 87 Hurricane 600 and a 97 F3. They're bulletproof, fast, and, if you don't get caught up in the cosmetics game you can run them cheaply at the track.  Besides, on the track, no one wins any popularity contests for having a great looker!  Oh yeah, I also ride a 79 Bimmer R100RT with Hannigan sidecar.

Currently looking for a seat for my 87 600 'cane.

Got one?  Need it quickly.

Well, Im looking at buying a CBR come Monday or Tuesday.  It's a 2001 929RR.  It'll be my first street bike and I'm sure it'll be a challenge.  I did a lot of dirt biking and rode my dads suzuki 1800 for a while, but these crotch rocket things are a bit differant I hear.  No worries though, just your average guy trying to save the money he pours into his 350 Chevy @ 3.69 a gallon!

Hello All,

Names' Denny, just recently purchased a layed over '97 F3 for pretty cheap. Presently in Germany with the Air Force. I've been riding dirt bikes most of my life, and got the road bike bug, and I love it!

Hi All,

Glad to see a board sarted that includes te early CBR's. I own an '88 which I purchased used from the first owner in 1997. I've only put about 6,000 miles on it during my ownership. So far all I've had to do is replace the chain and brake pads to my recollection. There was a little minor body work also where there were stress cracks at the fastener holes, but that wasn't bad.

Thanks for the Site,
Bill

Whats up? My name is Russell, I used to own an 88 FZR 600 back in '90 and loved it, but had to sell it when I moved to California for College. I'm 35 now but stilla kid at heart, and with the outrageous gas prices started dinking around in classifieds for motorcycles.  I found an 88 CBR on craigslist (one of my riding buddies used to own one), and couldnt help but justify to my wife how much we can save on gas.... long story short, I got the CBR today and burned up almost 2 tanks of fuel in it! What's the old saying? Just like ridin' a bike!
So anyway, it has over 60,000 miles on it, but was owned by a mechanic and seems mechanically flawless. The only drawback to my 1500 dollar investment is that its kinda ugly...needs some new bodyworks even though it's all there.
I look forward to posting questions about modifications and stuff, for I haven't been riding in 15 years, but I think I just found my second wind, and am already thinking about restoring this one and getting what I used to dream of having.. a '94 900RR. This will be a good "reconnect" ride for me.  Thanks for being here.

Hello all,

My name is Reggie. I own a 2007 Honda CBR600rr that I am in the process of turning into a city known bike...it is my first bike and my own form of transportation so I do ride it year round. Rain, snow, ice, sun, Christmas, 4th of July, Labor Day, my birthday, your birthday...you get the point...but I just wanted to get on here and meet some riders. I live in Birmingham, AL and work for T-Mobile. I also am looking for a place to get custom fairings, helmets, and make a jacket.
