I just noticed the clutch fluid to be cloudy and I ask the service guy at Honda and told me it was OK.
That the problem was the little view window that was getting old and faded.
So then why is the brake fluid one clean and clear??????
They both are original from '88.
The bike has 5800 original miles, the clutch fluid was replaced 2 years ago when I rebuilded the bike.
I will flush it this weekend, but do you know why is cloudy????
Contaminated????

sounds like you might have got a little water in there...
but those windows will start to fade with time....
most likely the clutch one got contaminated by water if the seal is old, since it is "lower" than the brake resevior when the bike is parked with the handlebars turned in the locked position

I have the same issue and after investigating a little, it is only the plastic window that is cloudy. The reason is that when the bike is parked, the window is directly exposed to the sun while the brake is not. This is when the bike is in the lock position, So the plastic gets a bit weathered from the sun. Take a little polishing compound (Brasso is my favorite) or car polishing compond (NOT rubbing compond) and you can repolish the window to a gloss finish. Worked for me. I am sure your fluid is OK. Hope this helps

Mine does that about once a year, I take it and have it replaced since I don't have the tools handy. I always thought it like any other oil will get darker after so many heat cycles.

yep, water in the fluid, what are you using dot4 or 5 because 5 absorbs atmospheric moisture faster hence it wil have more water content alot faster, i use dot 5 and should flush the system every 6 months.dot 4 should last 2 years if your caps are fine.

I just flush the system and it was water.
Last week when I rode one of those BIG Texas clouds down pour on me and since then the fluid became more cloudy.
I don't know how the water go in there since the cap seal is good, maybe it was time to replace the fluid and coincidence with the rain.
