I don't see why you couldn't buy a link and move the forks up. Thats all I did to lower mine. I personally think it (handles) better. I feel the lower to the ground, the lower center of gravity is and to me is more comfortable ride. Just be careful not to lower the front to much or you'll bottom out. And that could be scarry. Also lower it in increments in the front. ride it hard as you would normally in a good curve and see how it feels. I would have someone help you lower the front. do it one side at a time or the bike mat slide too far down the forks.[:@] any more ?'s email me

thanksi was going to take it to a shop.. but wanted to have the parts before i got there.. so all i need is a lowering link? just want 1 or 2 inches at the most so my feet are on the ground a little more..lmao

eBay has them all the time, the lowering link. You can buy a Motorcycle Lift at Sears for around 100.00 for a steel one. [:D]

i was told before i try and lower the bike with a link that i should try the spring preload first.. is that safe? of course i dont have the tools for the bike so i have to take it to a shop. i only need 1 inch. so i can back up the bike a little better. and feel more comfy at lights

I am also interested in lowering my 94 cbr900rr for the same reason.  As is, I am JUST flat footed, theres no leverage to push backwards, muchless up an incline.  I am curious to know how differently the bike handles a few inches closer to the ground.  Seems much more practical to me.

I have a lowering link from my 900RR ("dogbone") I can help you get your lowering project started. It wa installed on the 900 I bought but I am more of a stock height guy so I took it off, let me know if you want it. 900nos

yup, your bike is about 30 in parts to lower, all you need is a drop link(dogbone) and two tow straps hooked to your passenger pegs and a rafter of some sort to suspend it from.

completely safe to do with an appartment garage frame....

did it to a busa 2 weeks ago with no problems......

you may have to chop your undertail as well and make a license plate bracket out of 2 angled peices of metal....then add two more to bolt your tail lights directly to the top corners of the plate, if ya dont know what im talking about, pm me and i'll send ya some pics.
