Textile/nylon is going to absorb exhaust odor more than leather, but with the under-tail exhaust design of our bikes, there's virtually no way to avoid it.

The thing I like about this picture is you can see the swirls from the exhaust at the rear of the bike...although I'm going over 100 mph, put that same exhaust pattern in normal riding and it's going to be swirling back on the rider.

Suggest you contact JR to find out their approved cleaning method is.  I imagine that there is a way to reduce the effectiveness of the material in a way that doesn't 'seem to harm it'.

i only smell like it if i stand next to the bike for a while, bu tif im moving no problem.
