I got a problem with my 2002 f4i , rode it all week, on morning i start it and it wont stay on, unless i hold the start button, in which case it ll rev and all, . also a oil light comes on flashing and it d stay on, untill it starts. i checked oil and its good, .. any idea what could be wrong?

The oil light will come on whenever the ignition's on but the motor isn't running so that's no big deal. So you're holding the start button down to keep it running? Does the starter stay engaged?

I dont think it does, althought its a possibility. Basically its an electrical/electronic problem since it starts up. Or Im thinking its one of the switches

Check your stand safety switch.
