i just put mine on today. really feeling it only two minor set backs.
1. i ordered the amaber lights to match my flush mounts. the bulbs are amber and not the lens
2. on the 05 1Krr i have to find out a way to get ride of the rear passanger heat shield without burning my wifes ass

but it still makes the bike look even better

i had one on my 600rr and liked it a lot. however on my 1k i just mounted the tag to the bottom of the battery tray.

use Cool-It brand heat tape to get rid of the stock heat shield

it comes in various sizes and shapes
i used a roll of 2 inch wide strips and then painted it black with hi temp black paint to hide the silver

Pictures arent the clearest, but thats what you get with a camera phone i suppose... I dont know if you can see in the pictures, but for the heatshield, i just trimmed it up real nice inside with a dremmel tool, and dont think it looks too bad. Mainly just because i was impatient, and wanted to ride it
