Hey all, i was just looking to see at whats km's should you do the cam chain and the tensioner on the cbr1000f. Ive currently got 26,000km on my 94 cbr1000f. If anyone can tell me when they did theirs or if they know when they should be done. One other thing on my bike is also that i get a slight rattle when the engine is cold but after it warms it goes away. Anway what i am basically trying to do is if the cc is not due then it prob is the balancer. Thanks in advance all

My bike is a 92 model and its got 78,000 Ks after the help from Noe, I adjusted the balancer and found out it was the balancer not the CC or CCT. After doing balancer on saturday I have put 400 Ks on my bike and it was definately the balancer. Read this forum it may help you out as it did for me.

I did mine after 85,000ks. Half of that hard treatment.

You will know when to do it as the noise won't go away no matter how hot the motor.

Dont worry about it for a few years. :D

Six bolt on the side of the fairing, three on the front, and I missing the fairing piece under the headlight, so there may be four there.
The fair is also has a bit of plastic that slide behind the “low round cover plate near the bottom”, just unclip it and your there.

BTW, anyone got one of those fairing bits that goes under the headlight that they want to part with?

Now that was a piece of cake too. I took the right hand side cover off the the two allen key bolts going down the back of the fairing then the tree allen botls along the top ( BEtween the tank and the fairing then three philips heads in the front underside and one screw into the exhast and she is off, couldnt believe how it is so easy to do.
