>Hi all ,
just a newbie here looking for a wider wheel (stock) for my 04 CBR 1000RR ... I would like to powder coat it with a matching front (stock width) wheel .
and would probably need a wider a swing arm too .
thanks for the help

this seems like a cool site may even fair well against my favorite one www.camaroz28.com

I'm not sure I understand -- you put wider wheel (stock). There is only one size that comes stock. Anything wider would have to be aftermarket and with what those cost you prolly wouldn't want to powder coat them.

If you change the tire to a wider one you might change the handling. You might not corner as well as bikes with the stock wheels. Someone that has done this to there bike needs to comment because I am curious about this subject.

>I know that car wheel manufactuers like http://www.afswheels.com/v2/ takes the stock wheel and makes it either wider or makes a replica ... as fpr the handling I want it for drag racing and would use thestock size ones for the road .
but thanks for the replies . I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions still ;)

These guys are speed freaks. They might have what you want. I am not sure if they sell parts for just the R1 but it might give you an idea of what to look for.
