Full D&D exhaust

diechrome -> Full D&D exhaust (9/24/2006 5:18:13 PM)

I finally bought a full exhaust for the old Hurricane. I found a new D&D system (silver with the carbon can, part #807-22C) for $339.99 shipped. This exhaust lists for over $700 so I'm pretty stoked to get if for this cheap. I'll let you guys know who it sounds and any performace gains it might add.

the show-n-go full system? nice! where did you manage to get it for $339!?!

diechrome -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 12:08:43 AM)

It was the Show N' Go and I got it new off of Ebay. You gotta love it.

no hard feelings, but d&d is the worst exhaust out there

ajscbr600 -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 12:07:57 PM)

I don't think he asked for an opinion. D&D is a very reputable company and have been around a while, so I think they know what they are doing. Why are they the worst exhaust out there? BTW Post up some pics diechrome!

NC CBR1K -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 12:27:17 PM)

its just a known fact, that they suck, kind of like knowing that Yosh spends all the R&D on Susuki.....have a good day

ajscbr600 -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 1:43:34 PM)

Well that is YOUR opinion, and HIS bike, so if he likes it then thats great.

michigan_313 -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 2:42:55 PM)

sucks or not, it doesn't matter. point is, he got something, which is better than nothing given how much aftermarket stuff is available for the hurricane/F.

diechrome -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 3:44:44 PM)

Fact#1: I wanted a NEW full exhaust system
Fact#2: D&D is the only company that still makes a full exhaust

That kinda narrows down my options a little bit don't you think, NC. How if I had a CBR1000 it would be a different story but I don't, so I get what I can.

Here is what's going in the mail. I post more pics as it goes on my bike (I'm going to make it a high mount).

drifterjerry -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 5:31:18 PM)

looks good to me, for the price you cant beat it. sure beats the hell out of a rusted ass stock system with no sound. i like it! screw the haterz1!!

ras122 -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/25/2006 7:53:13 PM)

That guy doesn't have a clue, ignore what he says. I have a D&D, just a slip on though but love the way it sounds. Hey, you got a great deal on a complete system so congrats, I'm sure you'll enjoy.

diechrome -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/26/2006 11:40:39 AM)

By the way, if anyone wants a nice stock header or a Vance & Hines slip-one just let me know and I'll give them to you for cheap. If not, I'm just going to put them on Ebay.

rrasco -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/26/2006 1:04:48 PM)

you hae the ssr2? i want one! pm sent!

SoCalRay -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/27/2006 12:43:01 AM)

I've seen several D&D CF slipons and they appear to be well made. I don't know about there other stuff but all thier carbon stuff I have seen has looked very nice. I am kind of a CF freek so I notice this stuff. The one thing D&D is famous for is being one of the LOUDEST pipes you can get! Once you get that baby broke in your neighbors will never look at you the same. I say nice purchase partner and will wait to see the sound report (unless I hear it from here) Ray...

SoCalRay -> RE: Full D&D exhaust (9/27/2006 1:03:26 AM)

Also, hope you can find a nice jet kit for that setup. Maybe a nice set of pod filters (if you got the room) would go good to. Smooth out the intake boots a bit. That system is going to lean you out quite a bit and if you'r going to be jetting anyway might as well kick it up a notch. I kind of hang around here a little because my neighbor has a 87 CBR600F1 White/Red he just brought out of 14 year hibernation. Excellent looking with a little over 8K on the clock. I turned him to this site so he could see what all this modification stuff is all about and also have a place to ask questions of fellow owners.
