I finally bought a full exhaust for the old Hurricane. I found a new D&D system (silver with the carbon can, part #807-22C) for $339.99 shipped. This exhaust lists for over $700 so I'm pretty stoked to get if for this cheap. I'll let you guys know who it sounds and any performace gains it might add.

I don't think he asked for an opinion. D&D is a very reputable company and have been around a while, so I think they know what they are doing. Why are they the worst exhaust out there? BTW Post up some pics diechrome!

sucks or not, it doesn't matter. point is, he got something, which is better than nothing given how much aftermarket stuff is available for the hurricane/F.

Fact#1: I wanted a NEW full exhaust system
Fact#2: D&D is the only company that still makes a full exhaust

That kinda narrows down my options a little bit don't you think, NC. How if I had a CBR1000 it would be a different story but I don't, so I get what I can.

Here is what's going in the mail. I post more pics as it goes on my bike (I'm going to make it a high mount).

That guy doesn't have a clue, ignore what he says. I have a D&D, just a slip on though but love the way it sounds. Hey, you got a great deal on a complete system so congrats, I'm sure you'll enjoy.

By the way, if anyone wants a nice stock header or a Vance & Hines slip-one just let me know and I'll give them to you for cheap. If not, I'm just going to put them on Ebay.

I've seen several D&D CF slipons and they appear to be well made. I don't know about there other stuff but all thier carbon stuff I have seen has looked very nice. I am kind of a CF freek so I notice this stuff. The one thing D&D is famous for is being one of the LOUDEST pipes you can get! Once you get that baby broke in your neighbors will never look at you the same. I say nice purchase partner and will wait to see the sound report (unless I hear it from here) Ray...

Also, hope you can find a nice jet kit for that setup. Maybe a nice set of pod filters (if you got the room) would go good to. Smooth out the intake boots a bit. That system is going to lean you out quite a bit and if you'r going to be jetting anyway might as well kick it up a notch. I kind of hang around here a little because my neighbor has a 87 CBR600F1 White/Red he just brought out of 14 year hibernation. Excellent looking with a little over 8K on the clock. I turned him to this site so he could see what all this modification stuff is all about and also have a place to ask questions of fellow owners.
