ORIGINAL: D2MEclipseGT_600RR Anyways, and NOTICE yours also say sor HIGHER. MEaning you can use premium. I don't think the intended that to imply that you can use premium because it burns cleaner, adds horse power and makes your bike able to fly to the moon...they made it "or higher' so we know it's ok to go higher if our bike starts knocking or pinging. Waste your money any way you want, but I've been doing just fine since 2003 (and longer) on 87 octane...no pings or knocks and I bet my bike is faster than a lot of people on this board

Wow ... I didn think gas made your bike faster though?!?!? But yea it probably is, from all the mods you got from saving the .28 cents a week ... Yup .... Thats a little over $14 a year .... Look at that .... thats like ... Bar ends maybe, or even some new grips. Thats fine. I didnt want to start any trouble, and I still dont. But sorry, that$14 a YEAR isnt enough for me to change what I am doing.

Ok...let me clarify...it might not be the money, but it's the expectations some people have on higher octane fuel that's a waste...

ORIGINAL: D2MEclipseGT_600RR Well, mine says 92, so I dont know if you are in Cali and its different (I am not sure why ours say diiferent). Anyways, and NOTICE yours also say sor HIGHER. MEaning you can use premium. And also, if you turn the page (96 incase you didnt know) , it says "Use of lower octane gasoline can cause persistent pinging or knocking." Why not be proactive and prevent anythinglike that happening for an whopping extra .28 CENTS!?!?!? Its not bullchit, is called being proavitve. Using premium isnt going to hurt you bike, but using lower octane can. But you do what you want. Put oil in there for all I care cause all BlueFox and Myself is bullcrap and makes no sense ... right? as opposed to the manual saying 86 octane or lower? come on. where do you read 92 octane? upon reading the manual, it appears the manuals are the same for all 50 states as well as canada because it has corrections for the specific areas.
