Hey guys check this out. I want to do something similar, but with a custom upper with kawi 636 headlights. I don't like the swingarm or the exhuast on the bike but the tail seems to match the stock lowers pretty well, what do you think? I'm gonna do a custom undertail exhaust with a yoshi carbon fiber rs-5. what do you think?

Looks good to me but I think it's going to be really hard making an undertail exhaust work if you use the stock subframe. If you can make it work, more power to you, but I think it's going to be hard.

I'm planning on using a modified 900rr subframe, to clear the exhaust. i'm gonna email him to see what he used.

when doing my tail swap i was going to do the exhast too. after doing more thinking and research it is totally not worth it. with you swapping the swingarm will help, i was going to try and use a 600rr one was well, just didnt feel like doing all that work when i could just buy a damn rr and already have it there. good luck!

BTW
I got some lowers finally! ebay, 50 bucks a piece and shipping so like 150 total, still cheaper than airtech! Now i just need a busted up lower, someone help!

do you plan to use a rr swingarm to do the swap? if so, i can tell you right now that that swap is going to be a lot of work and some (maybe more) trial and error.

a couple of important items to think about.

1. width of the rr swingarm is considerably wider than f frame where swingarm would mount up.

2. suspension pieces will have to be custom fabbed to retain correct rear ride height. more important than #1.

no they were black, the guy had like an entire palstic set, but i just bought the lowers. No one else even bid on em, and the auction had only been looked at 26 times. I'll post pictures when they get here.

hrm, i saw a bike being parted on there the other day, had all the cowls listed. they were all red though. also had 11 bids on each lower as well, and i think they were going for $80 at the time. oh well.....good deal. keep us updated.

I like the canary yellow color and the overall look of the bike, however the RR decal really throws me off.

what do you suggest in the way of swingarms then? I want at least a 180 series tire on the back, anyone have opinions?
Thanks.
