Hello,

I am new to this site. I just bought a 2005 CBR 1000rr. I Should get it in next week. As some of you already know i currently live in italy. I have the luck to be next to the DAINESE factory. Now my question is, and it might be a dumb one, which leather is bettter, dainese or alpinestar??? I did do some research on both. And they are both strong and both have their pros and cons. So i came down to think that they are two of the top of the line gear. Which one would you guys pick? What are you more conforteble with?? Any hints, ideas on what i should get. Please let me know. Thanks fellas.

Both are excellent companies and make great products. I would try on some different leathers from both companies and see what fits you better and what fits your wallet better. You can't go wrong either way. I'm sure lots of people have nothing but great things to say about both companies.

I like both companies but I comes down to what fits you. I tried on both Alpinestars and Dainese and everytime it has come down to what fits me. Trying to find a larger size in a Dainese is harder than Alpinestars. Also the Dainese brand is somewhat expensive compared to Alpinestars (Alpinestars is expensive also but not like Dainese).

Both make quality products -- you just can't lose. My preference is Alpinestars but I'll take free Dianese stuff any ole day of the week

dainese are so superior to anything its not even a question... BUT!! some riders have trouble fitting their stuff because they are made for racers who are trim. That's when alpinestars comes in second to help the fatty americanos.
