Hi There I am new to this site and, I am bying a new 2006 CBR1000RR in two weeks time. Is there any pointers on how to run-in the CBR properly, or any other tips or advise that might be usefull. I cannot wait!!!!!! Cheers Yabu-san

What he said, and lots of heat cycles. (Run up to operating temp, and off till amb.) You'll find that e/one has i diff opinion on how to break em in . Maybe try a search of this site n see what you find. Have fun tho, its a honda, and unless you do s/thing silly w/it, you'll be ok. I've always changed the oil before they say to, but who knows if that does any good or not. Can't hurt. Congrates on the bike !! You'll love it !!

1st thing is to change the oil to mineral base..For a quick out-of-the-box fun, go for a dyno break-in. Then change oil again(mineral). After 2000km change to fully synthetic oil... Again..as above, its my opinion only. Diff ppl have diff ideas to a successful break-in. See website from motoman or rouge racing for specialise reference..
