went to the track for the first time with my bike lastnight and thought i was gonna run alot faster. i quickly found out its all about the 60'. my first run i cut a 2.5 60 and ran a 12.3 at 119. my second run i cut a 2.1 and missed 2nd . Ran a 12.1 at 118. shoulda been in the 11s the second run. ill be back tomorrow night with more times. what do you guys launch at? i launched the second time at 5500. im thinking it needs to be higher like around 8.

bring it out at like 9000. if is is lowered you should be able to bring it out at 10500 or so.

you dont need to take it that high..your just killing your clutch. i get 1.70 60 foots consistant with lauching at 4 to 5 grand. learn to slip better and you will get better time and not hurt your bike as much..cause we have to remember...freewheelin is bad..really bad at anything above 6 grand.

and are these drag strips like awesome condition and used in pro racing? or just some old one thats open. cause i went to lapeer in michigan and my mph was about 3 faster than is should have been. i race at milan, and they are very good and up to date with technology.

best track so far..norwalk!

steve

Adjust your shifter since you mis-shifted, seems like you couldn't preload it in time.

I would launch higher than 5k or so. While you may be able to cut a decent 60, you are still kinda out of the powerband as you get rolling. Launch higher, I've done 35 runs in an 8 hour period and 10-15 runs in a 3 hour period on my F2, no problems. I launch my zx12 around 5, wouldn't do that with the F2, thats whats killing you bro. Slip it out @ 8-9k....as you slip it out the RPMS will go up as you feed in more gas slightly....

Watch, note the staging RPMS. Watch the RPMS! I'm no pro either, just offering some help.
