I am considering a power commander, and filter combo. I would get it custom mapped, but I've done alot of research on this site, and have seen alot of variations in preformance gains. With the combined purchase and map I'm looking at about $400. I guess what I'm asking do the people that have them feel it was worth the money.

the right pipe like arata or sato
BMC race filters
and a good tune on a pc3 will get you upwards of 10-15hp depending on if its a full or slip on

not to mention the torque curve will be a lot smoother

a pc3 should be the first mod ever done to a bike even with a stock exhaust it works so well

So your bike is still pretty much stock and you noticed a positive effect from the power commander? I'm not really interested in an exhaust or filter right now, but I am very interested in improving my low-end and off-idle performance.

yes..a PC III can be used even on a stock bike!! All factory production bikes do not have a perfect air/fuel ratio for every single owner staying in every corner of the world..The bikes are just generally tuned to suit most climates or elevations. So a stock bike can have about 70% to 80% perfection only but with a PC III..a 90% odd can be attained in the hands of a good tuner.

Go BMC!!!

Err...I'm I allowed to say that?? IMO, get a race BMC filter if you dun commute often with the fireblade..or else get the road/sport filter if you use for daily commuting and occasional trackday...

Get the power commander! If you are going to mod it eventually then this will be one of the best things you can do! Even if it is the only thing you do? It will still make your bike run a whole lot smoother and better!
