Hi guys i'm new to the forum and love it, I was a member of a 1000f forum that was based in germany and could not talk to half the people that were members. I am glad to see there are people in the US. who still love these bikes. I have a 90 CBR 1000f that is giving me repeaded problems. The most recent problem is that it wont start unless I pull one of the spark plugs completley out. Once I have done that it will start and run fine but as soon as you shut it off the same thing happens. The starter cranks slow, so i replaced it and it still cranks slow. Even with the starter cranking slow the bike still started fine before. The bike started this mess of not starting one day when it was real hot i was on the free way going across town and the bike acted like it was vapor locking. so I messed with it and finally it started again. I proceeded with my day and it did it again, this time it would not start unless I pulled one spark plug. I adjusted the valves a month before this happened so I thought maybe they got messed up over that time. I had someone else adjust the valves again and the bike still does the same thing of not starting. Any help woud be greatley appreciated. I enjoy this bike and am to the point of parting it out or selling to someone who wants to deal with these issues.

my did that in a way
it would turn over real slow
and would not start because wasn't
turn fast enough

had friend look at it and he said
that the carbs was put some raw
fuel in the cylinders and tring
to hydraulic lock

so a new batt and take the
carbs off and clean them and it was fix

hope this helps

I agree with greymustang. Could just be a bit of crud blocking open the float valve from the seat. The gas is leaking into the cylinder when the bike is stoped with the intake valve open.
