interesting- duhamels and zemkes bikes only topped out @155 at vir this year

i don't know how you guys are getting above 186 with stock bikes. Well,, maybe the model year probably makes a difference. But we had radar runs up here on a closed air strip "2 miles long" and my bike was reading 186 on speedo and not a mph more. i held it there for about half a mile, 186 was the fastest it'd do on the speedo.. the radar gun picked me up at 180. that means my speedo is 6mph off.. our radar was accurate becuase there was a busa there with a speed correction box that ran 185 and the radar said 185.. mine is a 2006 cbr, what year are you guys riding??

Mine is an 06' and I have been to 286klm/hr Dont know in MPH. I got the speed correction unit your talking bout! I stopped as road ran out and she still was pulling!!

i have to admit it, my 1K is no longer stock, got a YosHCF RS-5, SS brklines, Vesrah brkpads, Gilles rearsets, BMC airfliters, going to replace the steering damper, with GPR, get a speedohealer, an a PCusb an i havent been able to open her up yet, havent even made it out of 5th, doing 175mph.

sorry bro, i thought i quoted lbsofchroniC but i didn't. My original post said that all i could get outta mine was 186. And i was asking how could someone stock possibly get much faster than that because they are speed limited at the factory. And lbsofchroniC said "Hello we have 1000's." i was juss lettin him know i have a 1000. That is why i'm writing in the 1000RR SECTION ON THIS FORUM... soooo, back to my original question, how are you guys pushin over 186 mph and i'm not?
